Palmstone Memory Care LLC (“Palmstone,” “we,” “us”) operates palmstonememorycare.com. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It covers the website and any inquiries made through it, by phone, or by email before move-in. It does not cover residents’ care records, which are governed by the residency agreement and Illinois law.

Information you give us

When you contact us, join our waitlist, or schedule a visit, you may give us:

  • your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • your relationship to the person you’re asking about
  • information about your loved one, such as their name, age, care needs, and timing
  • anything else you choose to share in a message or conversation

Please share only what we need to start the conversation. Don’t send medical records or detailed health information through the website form. If you decide to move forward, we’ll gather what’s needed through a confidential pre-admission assessment.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our systems and service providers collect some technical information automatically:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and general location (city or region)
  • pages viewed, time on the site, and the page that referred you
  • cookies and similar technologies that keep the site working and secure

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information about your visit through cookies, but it doesn’t tell us who you are. 

Our site is protected by Cloudflare, which processes technical information to block attacks and spam. Our videos are hosted by Vimeo and YouTube, which may set its own cookies when you play one. Our links to Facebook and Instagram take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • answer your questions and schedule visits
  • manage the waitlist and contact you as suites become available
  • plan a possible move-in, including whether Palmstone can meet your loved one’s needs
  • send updates about construction and opening, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
  • keep the website secure and working, and improve it
  • comply with the law and protect our rights

Email and text messages

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. If you give us a mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about your inquiry or visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. 

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

We share information only:

  • with service providers that host the site, run our email and forms, or provide security, who may use it only to provide those services to us
  • with our professional advisors, such as attorneys and accountants
  • when required by law, or to protect anyone’s safety, rights, or property
  • with a successor if Palmstone is involved in a merger, sale, or financing, subject to this policy
  • with your permission

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry and waitlist information for three years after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If your loved one becomes a resident, relevant information becomes part of their resident file, which we keep as Illinois law requires.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No website or email system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as required by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop sending you emails or texts

Email us at [email protected]. We’ll respond within 30 days, and we may need to confirm your identity first. We honor these requests wherever you live, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work without them. Our site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

Children

Our website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
